Tree houses as hotels is not a new concept, but Montana Magica Lodge in Huilo-Hulio,Chile is not like all other tree house hotels. It is one of the most unique hotels in South America. This whimsical eco lodge is shaped like a volcano and complete with every modern amenity. Just like in a volcano as the magma flows out in the same way water flows out through this giant structure, giving it a fairy tale like look.
The hotel has a natural look and is built with locally available wood and stone. The main attraction of the hotel is the windows, walls, doors and stairs they are all carved out of the local rustic wood. The windows are large enough to look out at the excellent greenery of the forest. Each of the nine rooms is named after a different local bird. The architecture of this hotel, along with the forest setting, makes this a truly a magical mountain and forest.
It is located to the north east of the Mocho-Choshuenco volcano in Los Rios Region. The main entrance for this hotel is on the international gravel road that connects Panguipulli, with San Martin De Los Andes, Argentina. The closest airport is the Pichol International Airport. The lodge is a 2 and a half hour drive.
Among other services the hotel, these amazing hot tubs which are made out of huge trunks of trees. Another hot attraction is a mini golf course which is built in the forest itself, making obstacles in the games is nature itself. There are also various outdoor activities such as horseback riding, rafting, and hiking. It is a lodge built with quality material by craftsmen of surrounding communities and Puerto Fuy Neltume, small wood-based mountain villages.
